I didn't post during the weekend so I decided to post today since I have to check out E maths linear inequalities anyway. Happy Chinese New Year to those who really treasure it.
For me, I had to go house to house visiting old/middle aged people and listening to their boring and endless conversations with my Dad. And all the time, there are no kids.
The only interesting time was on Friday because at night was visit to grandmother's house so all my cousins and everyone I see every Saturday was there. Wayne and I went to the row of coffee shops and we just sat there and talked and ate. Auntie Elaine was very nice. She specially went to the airport to get a cake for my Mum and then sang the birthday song at 12:00am of the 9th!!! I'm really grateful to her for making my Mum so happy. We had combined birthday lunch of my grandma and mum at suntec on saturday. Then took some huge family photos. I rushed down secretly with Wayne to get a bottle of perfume from body shop as my present. Didn't give any to mum last year thanks to Ronald who went to tell her that I was giving her a present! After lunch everybody came to our new house and suddenly the house was so lively. Was really fun.
School today was just average. Morning was good. The school bus driver made some improvement. His driving is normally very horrible. He doesn't really know when the right time is to shift gears. And it's like just as though he didn't even get past his basics. But today he was quite impressive in the sense that he managed to release the pedal after the flyover outside SC and let the momentum of the van roll all the way to the school carpark. Which was really surprising. Then during lessons I tried to be anti-social for once. But stupid Samuel kept touching my hair and I had to run away from him. Maybe its difficult to be anti-social after all. Shawn Seah and I still haven't even spoken to each other. But its not that he's unfriendly or what. Just want to have somebody I haven't said a single thing to YET. Today the difference between A band and B band in terms of geog was very obvious. I got 13.5/20 for geog test, which is like 4th in 3B3. But Jordan got 18 and brandon got 17! Which means my marks are like average. Sigh sometimes there are so many demoralising incidents. Maybe its better not to know anything.
At home the maids baked a cake. It's like some egg cake because it smells like egg and its made with 5 eggs. It should be called a volcano egg cake. It looks like a volcano with a crater.
Oh and now the special chemical formula doesn't have the O4 anymore! Instead of Magnesium Sulphate, I found out from wikipedia that its supposed to be Magnesium Sulphide! So now its more accurate. Can't believe I didn't think of it earlier. But now the friendster group name is edited to Magnesium Sulphide. Got rid of the O4. Haha it's so fun learning chemistry now.
This line is really meaningful. It comes from a movie but it makes sense. It is probably one of the few things which can get you back up from setbacks.
Why do we fall? So that we learn to pick ourselves up.
There are many answers too. I kept thinking about this line and asked a lot of people today "why do we fall?" Everyone probably had a correct answer but you can probably see those who think about the deeper meaning. Ramachandran said : Maybe its due to gravity? ( I'm like !!!! not in that sense!) Julian said : So that we know how to get up. Ben Khoo agreed with Julian's answer. Jordan said : Because of temptation around us. Hx said : We fall so we can learn not to fall in that same way Zhong Han, Derek and all of the recess table didn't get it. They went huh? Some joke book answers would probably be
Because someone threw a banana skin? Someone stuck his leg out and tripped the poor dude.
But you get the idea. Thats all for this week! I'll compose a better post next week when its the weekend!
