First week of term 4! 2 more weeks before exams. And shit, still not a study addict yet. Only a little study mood. I feel so lazy. Which means I think I'm going to die for end years. But oh well sciences mainly decide if its A band or not. And I'm quite sure its A1 for both this time. Come on, we all know it's meant to be. The rest of the subjects, decent B grade or something would be somewhat minimum? As long as its enough for A band.

Anyway, last week was kinda fun and entertaining. Wednesday went to kap for lunch with Kai Kein, Micah, Leon, Kenneth Chew, Ben Chia. before tuition. We made friends with rebecca, michele, samantha from fairfield because Ben chia went to ask for their names then in the end we made friends with them. Friday was Ronald's birthday and he had some party with his friends at home so I didn't exactly want to go home and interfere. We (excluding Leon) went to meet the 3 of them at Bukit Timah Plaza. Talked from like 3.30 to 6pm then went home. At night met nerine at some mooncake festival thing organised by the town council. Then went back to celebrate Ronald's birthday.

Physics project completed!

The heating of the can causes the temperature of the water inside to become 100°C. Therefore its pressure is approximately equal to that of the atmosphere(ebullition). When it is in ebullition it changes from liquid to gaseous state, and the volume of the can completely filled by water in liquid state is in equilibrium with its vapour.

When the can is turned 180°, the water vapour is kept inside it and the liquid flows to the hole.

When the inverted can is dived into the water which is at a smaller temperature of about 25ºC, it will cause an abrupt change in the temperature. The vapour inside the can will be suddenly cooled and condenses immediately.

It is known that a certain number of molecules, in the gaseous state, occupy higher volume than the same number of molecules in the liquid state (1 mole of gas occupies 24dm³). That is explained by the fact that the space between molecules is larger when it is in the gas state. Most of the space in the can was filled by water vapour. Thus, the condensation of it will cause an abrupt decrease of pressure.

The can will shrink until a new equilibrium state is reached. It means that when the vapour condenses, the can will have a certain free space that has to be filled out. As the can doesn't offer great mechanical resistance (it is made of aluminium), it implodes until it finally finishes compensating the abrupt decrease of pressure. The can doesn't implode more because the cold water also enters inside through the hole.

This week was mentally and emotionally challenging. Oh well but managed to get through it so far.

So past few days tried to study, couldn't really concentrate. It's not that easy. What with Ronald bugging me to play with him and other stuff. But finally managed to do chem homework at KAP yesterday. I think it's a good start to get back into the studying mood.

Anyway, been cycling a bit excessively recently, so I'm taking a break from it today. Ass hurts, back hurts, legs hurt. Woke up at 4.30am(yes, AM) yesterday morning to meet Julian at the fire station. We went into Cluny Park near Serene to explore then back. Made some stops in between and went into some small roads. Returned home at 7am because of all the time wasting. Then got ready and acted like I just woke up in front of Mum before going to school for chem lessons.

Monday got my new bike so cycled to sixth ave, then across that whole stretch of road, Holland road, Old Holland Road, and out at Blackmore and home. Tuesday went with Hamburger wanted to try out the mountain biking trail but he kept saying that our bikes will snap and he was very reluctant so in the end just went to Dairy Farm. Saw Graham Whiteley on the way there. He's the best teacher around! After that went home.

31st August was pretty great, though celebrated in Singapore and not Europe unlike last year. So hmm it was very good but can't beat last year haha. Celebrated during dinner at Equinox. The view there is stunning and amazingly nice. Probably saw the whole of one side of singapore. I want to thank everyone who wished me. I think that was one of the best presents I could have asked for. Though there's something that'll probably thrash all other presents. But we live on realistic Earth, not Perfect Dreamland. This year the number of people totally thrashed last year's so I'm happy!

Celebrated with friends on the 29th. Went to Marina Square with Zhong Han, Shawnkoh, Brandon, Derek, Martyn, Byron and sadly KCFyuck. He was obviously, extra. Derek and I wanted Subway so we both went to eat there while the rest were at Macs. After that all of us went bowling. Then Shawn, Martyn, Byron, and the dirt left. So Brandon and Zhong Han wanted to go home as well. Ended up going to PS to meet Gilda. Ate at Carls Jr. After that went to KAP to burn time before going to Aloud. Sat with Reagan, Heah, the other sec 4 and Mariko. Not being biased or anything but hmm they have talent. Overall they all were very good except for 1 or 2. The whole thing ended at 11 which was damn late.
